Attention Airport Users and Guests-

I am pleased to accept the position offered to me as Interim Airport Director by the North Little Rock Airport Commission. I am excited about the direction the airport is headed, as well as the possibilities to continue making our airport exceptional. 

Our upcoming project will be updating our runway 5/23 lighting system to a LED system. This will result in brighter lights, with less maintenance required for upkeep. Unfortunately, this will require shutting down runway 5/23 during construction. Our plan is to evaluate weather forecasts starting April 1, 2012 to find a 2 week stretch with little rain predicted. Once that window is found, we will shut down the runway and work all day every day until the lighting system is completed. We estimate this process will take about 2 weeks. Please make sure to check your NOTAM's when flying in or out during that time to check on the status of the runway.

During this construction period, we will still have complete access, with lights, to our shorter runway, 17/35. 

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we assure you, the airport will be much safer and reliable as a result of the lighting rehabilitation.
